Altra Global is a Brussels-based advisory and implementation firm working across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We work with donors, development finance institutions, investors and growing businesses on strategy, SME support, investment research and donor programme management.
We bring more than 15 years of experience in development finance, SME lending and impact investing, and we stay involved from design through to delivery and reporting.

Our mission
Why Altra Global was founded
Altra Global was founded to close a persistent gap between strategy and execution in complex markets. Many organisations have strong plans, but turning them into measurable results is where programmes often stall.
The name Altra comes from “Alternative Global”: a different approach to international advisory work, built on practical solutions, cross-regional understanding and the ability to work in difficult economic environments.
How we think
Delivery matters as much as design. Strong strategies fail without practical delivery and clear accountability.
Context comes first. In emerging markets, challenges are rarely purely financial; they are structural, institutional and operational.
Results must be measurable. We build monitoring and reporting in from the start, so partners can see what changed.
